Gallery and if you have the chance to visit it, by all means treat yourself on a visit. Prefaced by the French term haute, haute horology refers to the absolute finest of high watchmaking. Now the Horological Society of New York (HSNY. It’s an odd term, but essentially, horology (horlogerie in French) is the study (or science) of time or watches. There are of course many more examples of mechanical art on display at the M.A.D. If you’re interested in watches, then you are interested in horology (the art of watchmaking).
Here we don’t find any “form follows function” adagio, no, this is art mixed in an excessive way with function.
